Summary

Saga Streaming does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising identifier in the app. Everything you configure stays on your device.

What the app stores

• App settings — language, performance tier, HDR preference, audio and subtitle preferences. Stored in local Android SharedPreferences.
• Watch progress — position and duration of movies and episodes you have started. Stored locally.
• Watchlist — the list of titles you have marked to watch later. Stored locally.
• API keys and tokens — OpenSubtitles, MDBList, Floppy, YouTube. Encrypted with the Android Keystore, stored in an encrypted SharedPreferences file.
• Plugin URLs — the URLs of any plugins you install. Stored encrypted.

What leaves your device

Saga Streaming communicates with the following external services when you use them:

• TMDB — for movie, TV, and person metadata. Only the queries needed to render the screens you see are sent.
• OpenSubtitles — only if you configured a key. Search terms and downloads are sent.
• MDBList — only if you configured a key. Movie and show IDs are sent to fetch ratings.
• YouTube Data API — only if you configured a key. Search terms are sent when a trailer is opened.
• Floppy — only if you created a Floppy account. Watch events (title, position, timestamp) are sent to your Floppy account so they can sync across your devices. Floppy is operated by us. You can delete your account at any time, which removes all stored history.
• Plugins you installed — content requests are sent to the plugin's own server, on your behalf.

What we never do

• We do not collect analytics or telemetry.
• We do not use advertising identifiers.
• We do not share data with third parties.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your watch history with anyone.

This website

The website you are on does not use cookies for tracking, does not embed third-party analytics, and does not serve ads. Server logs are kept for standard operational purposes (traffic analysis, abuse prevention) and are deleted after 30 days.
